Three Communities to be Recognized as Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Cities | Community Spirit

The cities of Chaska, Chanhassen, and Forest Lake will be recognized as the newest Beyond the Yellow Ribbon communities this week. A proclamation ceremony will be held Wednesday, October 10 at 3 p.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Richfield.  

The Beyond the Yellow Ribbon program recognizes efforts of key community leaders, businesses and volunteers to meet the needs of current and veteran military members and their families.

Secretary of State Mark Ritchie and Maj. Gen. Rick Nash, Minnesota National Guard Adjutant General, will be on hand at the proclamation ceremony to recognize the three cities for completing the 16-step process necessary to becoming a Beyond the Yellow Ribbon community.

St. Peter's Catholic Church is located at 6730 Nicollet Ave. S. in Richfield.
